Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is the home environment where Life Choice provides full support throughout the day and night to Participants. We offer SIL in locations across the Fraser Coast.

Our highly trained staff provide support for all levels of personal care, everyday living activities, medication, and assistance to be housed safely.

A SIL can be from one Participant up to three Participants. The staffing ratio is tailored to best cater to Participants’ support needs, requirements, and goals.

Short Term Accommodation (STA) or Respite

Short Term Accommodation (STA), or Respite, is the support and accommodation utilised by the Participant when required to live away from their usual home for a short period.

STA or Respite support includes assistance with personal care, the accommodation the Participant will reside at, the activities agreed upon by Life Choice and the Participant, and more.

A STA or Respite can be from one Participant up to three Participants. The staffing ratio is tailored to best cater to Participants’ support needs, requirements, and goals.
