What is Allied Health?

It’s a relatively new term used to describe the broad range of health professionals who are NOT doctors, nurses or dentists.

The ALLIED HEALTH team at Life Choice consists of:

  • PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
  • SPEECH PATHOLOGISTS
  • EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGISTS
  • SOCIAL WORKERS
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS
  • PSYCHOLOGISTS
  • BEHAVIOURAL THERAPISTS
  • COUNSELLORS

These professionals aim to prevent, diagnose and treat a range of conditions and illnesses and often work within a multidisciplinary health team to provide the best patient outcomes.

Quinton loves deep pressure work to help self-regulation. He always leaves feeling happy.

Life Choice offers a full suite of allied health services. Our team can work with Participants either at our Maryborough (‘The Hive) or Hervey Bay (‘The Hub’) offices or, where appropriate, in the comfort of your home.

Both The Hive and The Hub have private therapy rooms and specialist equipment. The Hub also boasts a brand new, fully equipped gym.
